A different kind of sunshine...

Sun, beautiful sun...

You've been hiding...

And we miss you...

So much!!!

This weekend I will be soaking in a different kind of sunshine... The human kind, the kind that emanates from beautiful, creative, funny women...

Have a wonderful weekend... I know I will!!

Barn House Vintage Country Marketplace sale

I am so happy I am able to just hop in my car and go see my sweet friends Joe and Jermonne, of Barn House fame, and my favorite girl Natalie, of Sparrow... They had a thrown-together-at-the-last-minute-to-come-out-of-the-winter-funk sale, and it was just what the doctor ordered!!! My friend Leah (you may remember her gorgeous home from this post...) and I drove to this little old schoolhouse in Battle Ground, and had a wonderful time seeing our friends and doing a little shopping!

"I saw it first!"... "No, I saw it first!"

Leah, Lara and I... And those little fingers behind us, you ask? Well, that would be funny Mr. Joey, trying to enhance our picture!!!!

I came home with an adorable vintage toddler-sized wood bed... I think it will make a wonderful little daybed, once I cover it with fluffy pillows!!

Objets trouvés (and an impromptu photo shoot...)

A few weeks back, I was thrilled to find this beauty at a local estate sale.... I am even considering trying to reupholster it myself (even though the velvet is not that bad, considering the age of the loveseat...!!) I love the petite size, and even though I am not sure where I would put it, I don't think I want to part with it, at least not for now!

This weekend, at Ruffles & Rust, I managed to find a few sweet treasures...

This pink toolbox had my name written all over it....

This chair is so sweet, I can picture it with a ruffly seat pillow...

... And my sweet friend Joy, practically gave this to me... It will store loose papers and templates. Love it!!!!

Well...

Since I was snapping pictures, and my kids happened to be home...

I called them out for an impromptu photo shoot...

Okay... So I had to bribe my son with a trip to the Dollar Store...

But it was worth it...

There was a lot of goofing off...

But I was able to get some good pictures!!!

And yes, children, despite what I told you... I am putting them on my BLOG!! Haha!!

{Loving me some} Ruffles & Rust...

As we were driving back home from another amazing show, I couldn't help but think that, even though it was wonderful to come back with a lighter load and a heavier wallet, what was really, really standing out from the weekend was the way my heart felt warmer... I cannot even begin to tell you how incredibly rewarding it is to visit with like-minded people, who love good "junk" as much as you do...!!! The displays were absolutely jaw-dropping and, honestly, after visiting so many amazing booths, I couldn't even bring myself to take pictures of my own booth, as I felt a bit like an under-achiever... So.... Here is some great eye candy for you to enjoy!!

Friday night show preview (First Choice shopping) included a creative hat challenge, and boy, did we see a lot of whimsically fun and spectacular hats...!!

One of my favorite moments of the show was an impromptu dress-up party in my booth with two of my favorite girls, Tiffany and Kim....

Skinny Miss Fancy Farmgirl bought this sweet, romantic dress, which fit her like a glove!

Elegant Miss Mimi Charmante looked absolutely charming (and, dare I say, sexy) in this gorgeous vintage wedding dress...

These sweet girls (Amy and Kris, from the Today's Country Store) are the best booth neighbors a girl could ever have.... Thank you for feeding me when I was hungry and medicating me out of a nasty cold!!!

Thank you so much to all who stopped by to say hi, I truly enjoyed your visits... And thank you, Timi, for working so hard to put together a truly rewarding show...
Next stop... Farm Chicks!!!!!!
