I cannot believe it's been over a month since I blogged... Life has this way of taking over, and things have been very busy around here!!  In addition, I have been frantically preparing for Farm Chicks this weekend, I am so excited to go back to the happiest junking place on Earth!! A romantic "ciel de lit"

For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of having a romantic canopy over my bed, with soft, sheer panels cascading from it... I have, for a while now, been searching for any old charming piece with just the right "bones" that I could repurpose, and that's when I found this sweet, perfectly chippy metal plant holder (or, at least that's what I think it is!). By simply turning it upside down and adding sheer panels (bought at Ikea for under $10, then dyed with tan Rit dye), I have a dreamy ciel de lit! The search is over... For now!

 

 

Monticello Spring Garden Show

Grab a cup of tea, pull up a chair, and get ready to be transported to paradise on Earth... The ever so highly anticipated spring garden show at Monticello is here, and it is absolutely amazing! Every nook and cranny grabbed my attention, and everywhere I turned there was something gorgeous simply calling my name! The show starts today, and runs through May 28.
