Coburg Antique Faire

This is the third year Lisa and I have been a part of the Coburg Antique Faire, and it is an event we love to do, despite the two hour distance and all the work involved with setting up and packing by ourselves.... What really makes us happy is to see repeat customers who tell us, over and over, how much they love our spaces, and all the new people we get to meet, many through our blogs!!!! We can definitely feel the love, there, and I, personally, want to thank everyone who graced us with a visit, you truly made my day!!! This was our last show of the summer and we are looking forward to relax, fluff our nests and concentrate on many other projects...!!! My biggest goal, for now, is to get some of my creations out on Etsy, so stay tuned!! Have a wonderful week, sweet friends!!!

Monticello Fall Premier Show

It is always such a delight to visit the seasonal shows hosted by Monticello in the gorgeous garden area.... The Fall show starting this Friday promises to be one of the best ever, judging by the incredible talent I have seen displayed...!!! Really jaw dropping!!! I had the chance to get a sneak peek and snap some photos to share.... I felt like a kid in a candy store!!! Enjoy the tour...

And.. the best news is... I am back at Monticello, after a summer hiatus, and am so excited to be back...!!!! So, if you are in the area, make sure to stop by for a visit!!

Jumping for joy...

What a summer....!!! Our trip to Europe was a blast, spending time with family in Lisbon and a little trip to Italy, and the kids have been enjoying the rest of their summer vacation with tons of friends, parties and sleepovers... It is back to school on tuesday (wednesday for the oldest), just as my nesting instincts start to kick in.... I will claim my house back, and I will be sewing up a storm to finally get my creations on Etsy...
And... who knows... you may just catch me doing this...!!!

01 September 2010

As I often do, when my heart is heavy with feelings of longing for my country, my people, my music, I was seeking comfort in listening to familiar portuguese musics on Youtube, when I came across this (new to me) clip from my all time favorite group, Madredeus... It is part of the soundtrack for a movie based on our historic coup d'etat of 1974... Allow me to share this beautiful piece with you... It did touch my heart and I hope it will yours too...
